What is a router tool? Simply a router is an electronic device that can connect to computers network. It can also connect with wired and wireless system.  A router is a hardware machine that can receive internet data and provide data to another device. There are many types of internet data that are divided or convert with a router. There are many types of routers according to the power system of internet network. It depends on the destination where it reaches or receives.  Now I’m going to disclose about many types of routers bellow in this discussion.

How Routers Work

We know that in a technological term, a router is 3 network layer gateways that system works to connect between two computers or more.  And the router can operate OSI model according to its network layers. A router contents processor with several types of digital memory.

It also contents operating system for its best network. Generally, routers use Microsoft Windows and Mac operating system that is most necessary for these types of routers. We know that the most popular router operating systems are Cisco internetwork operating system and DD-WRT.

Generally, a router works for data providing and receiving. It can connect from near device to remote device like computers or laptops.  

Various Types of Router

There are money types of routers in the technological world. But most important are five types of routers those are work among the internet networks around the globe. Now I'm going to discuss those five types of routers bellow.

Wired router

Day by day home and big or small office network are coming to the wired IP network. The wired router can maintain to configure and routing various types of data information in its routing desk. It can control specific IP address that you can maintain for your secure. This router can internet connect with cable network easily one to another device. This has also the capacity to connect with modem device that really workable.

Wireless Router

Wireless router is the most popular router for laptop or smartphone users. We know that this is an almost same wired router. This machine can connect with the modem by wire. It can also work with wireless and wire when transmitting its data. It can convert data packets into radio signals. 

Core Router

A core router is a wireless or wired router that can distribute internet package among computer devices. But it can't distribute among the multiple internet networks.

Edge Router

The edge router is a wireless or wired router. It can distribute internet data pack among the network. But it can’t distribute internet network without one network.

Virtual Router

What is virtual router tool? A virtual router is unlike physical router that has the abstract object. It works with computer sharing network. It router function uses the VRRP protocol. That router becomes active when others or primary router doesn't work properly.

At the end of this discussion, I can say that router is a one kind’s electronic device that works for connecting each device to another network device.
