The rural women in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is a small country in south-east Asia.  In spite of very small country it has huge population. But here live about 63% women.  The life of women in Bangladesh is very poor in the statues of society. They have no right in man dominate society. Although, we see in the field of politic, the pry minister & opposite leader are women in this land. Yet they have no right to express their opinion in family, society & country.

Rural women in Bangladesh live very inhumanity. At first they have no right in their father home. Second, they have also no right in their father –in –law house. While a girl was growing up then she was loved by her father, mother, sisters & brothers. But at the age of marriage they have tension about that girl.  Though she gets marry not easily. After marriage, she goes to her husband house with great dream & hope but fail. First she face several problem such as how her skin colour, what is the economic condition of her father house, how the position of her kin etc. if those condition  be good she can live with them several months. After living several months she faces in danger. Her mother in-law tortures to her day by day.Because she is a wife in this society. If you asked to her mother- in- law that why do you torture your daughter- in law? She would answer that I have had same thing from my mother- in –law.  So it is the natural rule in our land.

One the other hand school going girls get married very early in their life so they do not understand what is right or wrong. They do not want to marry in the very early age but their parent’s emphases on her. Parents seem that daughter is mature, if we do not make her marriage so people would say illicit words. However parents try to marry their daughter in the immature age so she faces to problem in her husband’s house. One she cannot satisfy to her husband on the bed others she also cannot happy to the people of her father-in law house physically power.   

Dowry system is another problem for women in Bangladesh. It is main reason for kill herself in our country.  It is curse for our country. Most of the rural women in Bangladesh are victim of dowry custom. It is coming from past time with the hand of our inherited. So if you want to stop it, may fall in danger both the side of daughters & sons. Because, they want  to peace with dowry system but vain.

As they get marry in the early age, so they do not know how to make family planning. Thereby they bear child year to year. So the unconscious women & man bring curs for their family. After word they have strong religious attitude that if they take family planning they fall in sin. However this is the real picture of women in our mother land.
